Had to happen eventually

One thing I've learned over the years is that most cops are professional, powerful and legally protected extortionists. They simply want your money and they work very hard to get it. In the modern age, the police force is hardly a service, but rather a self-serving, gluttonous, elitist empire. My neighbor just had his Escalade stolen the other night. I've never seen a night patrol around here but our finest are constantly hiding around every corner looking to make your wallet lighter. It's all about strengthening the force and tightening the noose. Filling the coffers through traffic fines is the main goal in policing nowadays, and the manpower spent persuing more cash is astounding. No act is too trivial to not warrant a day's pay, and new laws and methods are created daily to assist in this monetary extraction process. If they can take your money for having a loud horn, they will.
They found the Escalade in an alley across town the following night and it was stripped down. My neighbor said he's not going to let it happen again, he's moving in beside the donut shop.

i got a BS ticket last month, but i wasn't gonna argue. me & a friend were in the truck hauling his camaro to Jacksonville to get the blower tuned & got pulled over about 23:30 for forgetting to turn my high beams off. the funny thing is that it turns out that's a 3 point moving violation in FL. he let me off with a warning for that. what he got me on was when he was looking at my license/insurance, he just happened to glance up & see my visor tint strip & it was about 1" too low on the sides. gave me a fix-it ticket ($101 straight-up or fix it & pay $71 with it getting taken off the record). i wasn't gonna say a daggum thing because i had 5% on the side windows and no lights on the trailer! the only light that worked was the left flasher circuit, so i had the hazards going. the cop even drove out in front of me & saw the hazards going after being behind me with just the one. the only thing he even mentioned was "just in case you didn't know, your left signal's been on for a while" (as the hazards are still blinking with the truck OFF
)
i also had my big fogs on with the highs & lows, which i bet's probably illegal, too. oh well. i just trimmed the tint back, had a county sign it off & mailed payment. good to go
where do you live? CA??

Called yesterday and talked to a different lady and she said it was fine to have written off. Took it down there this morning and an officer signed off on the ticket just from hearing my stock horn....whats odd though is the original officer hasnt turned in the ticket yet...
