Only as I started it up and let it run to about 100 degrees (water temp), let it cool down, then started it up and let it run until the thermostat opened up @ 180 degrees and shut it off and let it cool. Those are water temp temperatures so the primaries were much hotter than that.

Got the headers back from the sandblaster today...Put a coat of HIGH temp paint on them...still needs some more just gonna have to go get some...I'm using duplicolor 1200*+...

Did you wipe them down real good with acetone (or laquer thinner, or something) and make sure to not touch them with your oily fingers?

I was looking thru some old pictures to see if I had any of the headers I did for my Olds, and only found this one. This picture was taken right before I sold the car, and I painted the headers back in 1994 after I just moved into my house. I sold the car in 2004, so it was 10 years. I didn't drive the car everyday, but prob. had about 10-15k miles on it.
