Default Guys, need some advice

Well, work around the shop today was kinda slow, i was out running material and yada yada yada, my boss had another guy paint the privacy fence with a gun/compressor, boss told me to pull my truck around back for obvious reasons, so i did, far far far away last truck in row, (all the other trucks are beat up work trucks) well im the last one to get back, and notice my truck is covered in overspray!! my eye started twitching, veins bursting etc., question is, how should i approach my boss with this? should he or the "sprayer" be liable for it? i did manage to get some off a corner of my hood with repeated claybar use, and tech wax, took awhile, but i feel i shouldnt have to, thanks guys

I would approach the sprayer first in a nice manner and tell him your situation and see if he is willing to make it right. If not, I'd get progressively more pissed and proceed to jam his sprayer up his *** and give his intestines some overspray.

Same thing happened at my job a while back... the painter oversprayed and covered this guys 06 silverado at work. The owner went and complained to the boss here in the region and the company paid for a full detail job to get the paint overspray off.

What were the "obvious reasons" that you had to move your truck around back? To avoid the overspray? If that is the case, it is the painter that should have waited. Either way, your boss gave the 'order' to paint, and any resulting damage is his to deal with. I think you should simply notify your boss of the situation, show him the severity of the problem, and politely express to him that you fully expect him to rectify the situation. Anyone with a conscience would do the right thing. Getting pissed of and loud will guarantee you a spot in the unemployment line.

Albeit, the business end of a shotgun seems like an 'equal but opposite' reaction.

You can't go wrong wqith the laws of physics.

Hope it works out.
