Talking Great! I have to deal with you people again!!

What's up ladies, well I got back from my latest job Thursday night. I flew home from Hong Kong on JAL airlines which by far have the sexiest freaking flight attendants of any major carrier. I had a hard time concentrating on the in-flight entertainment every time one of them walked by

So my latest gig was more or less an elongated party, we mostly hung around the tropics with a few stops in China. The run was mostly L.A. - Hawaii - Guam - Okinawa - Xiamen - Ningbo and finally Shanghai. Did that a few times then we headed to Hong Kong on our last trip for a month in the shipyard. God I love Hong Kong!!

Here's a few pics of the last 3-4 months for those who like this sorta stuff...

First here's the ship, she's not all that big, bout 750 feet or so but she was not more than 4 years old which is really new for an otherwise aging and dwindling American fleet...

The crew on this ship was unusually young and were a bunch of drinking fools, typical sailors but there was an unusual concentration of us party'ers on this particular ship, sometimes it works out like this other times it's a more even mix of party'ers and hermits. I think we either BBQ'ed, played poker games, had all night drinking binges or some combination of those three between 5-6 nights a week.
Here's a bunch of pics of the festivities of the last most recent trips. (I wasn't about to download 4 months worth of shenanigans)

Typical night drinking it up in someone's room...

Sometimes we took the party to the foc'sle (bow) and had a BBQ up there...

We made some shirts for ourselves so that our "posse" had a name!

Don't ask me why the shirts came off when all that were there were dudes, were sailors, were the ones that go into a foreign port, get **** faced and make a bad impression to the host country concerning what Americans are like. Blame us for the bad diplomatic relations with foreign countries!

BBQ Grill with a fan rigged up to vent the smoke out...

Sometimes, when you gotta go you gotta go!

When we pulled into either Hawaii or Guam we would take our parties ashore, not gonna bother posting up pictures of the strip clubs and bars because some of them are incriminating, but here's some of the beach BBQ's we had in Guam

First the notice to all fellow drinkers of the what's what...

The Location in Guam...

The set-up...

And the feasting...

We usually brought our own food but we got lucky spear fishing and caught a Parrot fish or "ulu" as my hawaiin buddy calls it, so he stuffed it with sausage and cooked it up!...

That's the pre-game, then we head out to the bars and clubs...

When we're out at sea we usually have a BBQ out on deck too...

Here's some random pics as well, I saw a rainbow and started chasing after it!!

The doldrums

Front moving in...

This is what I do on watch when there's no traffic around!

And when there traffic I bury my face in the radar and after four hours of this I see green dots in my sleep! It's like a game of frogger but not really...

I have a ton more pictures but I just got back and have a bunch of bills to take care of and other stuff that's typical of leaving for four months, hope you guys enjoy the pics.

Do you work for Matson full time, or do you just go with whoever you're sent with. Did you ever read the book "Waiting on a Ship"? (I think that was the title)

that makes me miss being in the Navy. the ship i was on was only 453 feet lone and is now 25 years old so im sure you had a lot better ride than i did. How do you get a job like that?

looks like you had a good time, glad you made it home safely.
