Default Godfather Customs FTMFL. Failboat Inside.

So I decided to lower my truck more and started gathering all the necessary parts to do so. One of these parts being a carrier bearing shim kit. I called Godfather Customs to order it. I called Wed morning of last week and placed the order explaining that I need the part by the next Wed. I was told not once, but 5 times that the part would definetly be here by then. I told them I didn't care how it was shipped as long as it was here by Wed so I could lower the truck Thurs nite after work. I was told once again that it was definetly going to be here by then. I gave all my information including 2 phone numbers and my email address and was told I would recieve an order confirmation in my email. So fast forward to this morning. The parts weren't here yesterday evening so I called them up to see what the deal was. I explained to the guy that I never got my order confirmation and that I was worried it might have not been placed. He said no it's been placed let me get with our shipping dept and find out why you didn't get it. So he calls back an hour later and here is what I was told. I was told that the order had been placed and picked on the same day but that the reason I didn't recieve it is because the warehouse it was coming from in CA was shorthanded and they didn't have anyone to ship mine as well as alot of other folks orders. WTF? Seriously? You mean to tell me you've been in business 30+ years and sold millions in merchandise but you are willing to risk pissing off customers because you can't find someone to print shipping labels? That is BS. I wasn't even offered any kind of apology or anything trying to make up for it on their end. Basically just a good old "Sorry bout your luck." I know a small order here and the from someone like myself won't bother them at all if they do or don't get my business, but where is the professionalism? I've already called my credit card company and refused the charges. I also plan on refusing the package as I was told it shipped yesterday and I'd have it late next week. I'll never buy from them again. In fact, if I were to see their business on fire, I wouldn't **** on it to put it out. There is nothing that pisses me off more than complacency and laziness. Both of which seem to be in their core values. I hate to bitch but sometimes it's needed. Rant over.

I had the same problem with some bell-tech shocks. The thing is they dont keep the inventory on hand they order it and the manufacturer usually ship direct. My shocks were shipped direct from bell-tech nearly 2 weeks after i ordered them and was told 3-4 days. You would think they would keep some inventory? I will never do business with them again thats for sure!!

They're a shitty company. People have trouble with them all the time on Gmfullsize. They make little promises here and there and don't deliver. They don't seem to have scammed anyone, but sometimes people get broken parts, have to wait 2 months for something that is in stock supposedly, etc.

I will never order from them either.

My guess is the person that took your order knew full well there probably would be a delay in shipping due to their manpower shortage but he was only concerned about the sale and figured you'd just roll over like so many people do and wait for the product to arrive.

I'm the same as you....if it's going to be delayed....I don't give a a crap why it's delayed....just tell me it's going to be delayed! Very poor business practice in my book!

I had that happen w/. another co. last yr. @ this time. I needed brakes to go to Woodward Cruise. I said I need them by such & such day. I said I'd prefer UPS, but didn't care to spend $ for a UPS Next Day. He assured me it would go out ground & be here when I needed. I forgot the co.'s name, but if I dig it up, I'll post up. I won't be doin biz w/. them again, unless they told me Pam Anderson would come w/. my order. But again, all they'd be doin is tellin me, ya gotta deliver on what u say.

Another co. said free shipping on some headers. I got the charge, ya u guessed it, $40 or whatever. I called to gripe, they said on your next order, we'll knock off this, & free shipping. Never bought from that co.

Another thing that gets me . If I order somethin, & you say you'll call back either on that call or if I come up w/. a question after. "We'll call you." Or he, she or whoever, in whatever dept. And no call.

Even if I'm checkin out details & haven't yet bought anything. If I'm told, "We'll call & they don't follow-up", a co. has last my potential biz!!!

Stylin lost my business on my first order a few years ago, never gave them a second chance to screw me again. Ordered a custom steering wheel that was suppossed to be made and shipped from the manufacture. I am told it would take a month. Two months later I called and found out that yes they took my money, but they never ordered the steering wheel. Cancelled the order, asked for a refund and washed my hands with them. Took almost two weeks to get my refund as well. Customer service is not a priority anymore with most companies.

I have excellent experience with styling trucks. g/f customs never answered my questions about how much he could get me a flip kit for.I called stylin over the phone and ordered 240 in parts, I was on teh checkout page and it said 240. I told the guy this and he dropped it to 240 right there, no questions asked

Why was he trying to charge you more in the first place? If you didnt mention it you would have paid more for the same parts thats listed on the website cheaper. I for one will never deal with them again, regardless of what they are selling at whatever price. They wasted my time and took my money, that ended any potential future purchases from me.
