Default Getting the F-body syndrome again! (LONNGG)

Well heres the story, I walk into the local Gm dealer about a month and a half ago, see this 1999 Camaro Z28 in almost show room quality conidition, it has 98,000 km ( about 56,000ish miles?) A4, Ls1, full loaded to the ****, new rubbers, never winter driven, warranty, asknig price was 13,900 , so I took for a test drive, it had a few issues, but they said whatever was wrong they would fix before the sale so I said ok cool, anyways I hummed and said how flexible is the price, 12300 is the lowest theyd go, ( remember F-bodys up here are alot more rare and there fore go for alot more money then in the states) so I said Id think about it. week later the sales man call me and asks if I made a decision, I said 12900 is to high, he says ok doesnt try to negoiate or anything.

About 2 weeks later I get a call from him saying they still have the camaro and If I wanted it to give them an offer, right off I said 10,000 taxes in (15% sales tax, he goes and asks his sales manager and he says no but will sell it for 9500 + taxes and everything which comes out to about 11500, I said Nope sorry man, hes like ok thanks anyway.

Again! a few weeks later (today) he calls and asks me if I would pay my original offer of 10,000 taxes in on the road and everything including the small repairs it needs. Im sooooo tempted, but heres the thing

I was planning on really pouring money into the truck this summer but Id only be able to have it down for a week or so while I get the frame sand blasted and painted, body work done, and get the body painted, so thats a very short time limit to get all that done + any other modification Id want to do that cant be done over the weekend, so I need a daily driver. So I could say no to the camaro, try to somehow get the mods done. Or I can get the camaro, have the truck down for as long as i want while slowly doing mods to it (slowly because not as much money) and have the camaro for the DD

Another thing is I dont want to drive the truck next winter after paint so I would like to have something for a winter beater. Sorry for the veryyyyyy long rant or whatever you want to call it, just need some opinions

If you can take on the payments, the extra insurance i would do it. i hope to have both an f-body and my truck some day. just make sure you dont jump in and find you cant afford it.

I do, but the parents car and truck are in there,, that was also part of my decision, worse comes to worse Ill rent out a place at the self storage to put it in for the winter. As far as payments Im not worried about, they should be anywhere from 200-250 a month insurance 80ish maybe, Ill have to check, Im 20 years old and my only other exspenses are gas money, cell phone which is 30 bucks a month, and truck insurance 120, I usually role in about 1800 bucks a month, So anyone who hasnt commented please do, I dont want to take to long to make my decision

a $10K beater? no way i would do that. yes camaros are fun and all but i would daily drive a truck over a car anyday. if you are pretty set on buying the camaro then do it and keep the truck as your DD, IMO

put the car in storage. just pay the note, take it off the insurance, and keep the miles off it in storage. even tho they are high!
DD the truck..... make the car fast as ****! bring go fast parts to it in storage.

i'll admit it, i was looking at third gens for hours the other night on the internet, all i found were either beat to **** or were pretty much show cars for $8K+. but if i was to buy another third gen it would have to be a hard top (no t-tops or convertible), TPI motor and straight at the very least

The camaro would only be the DD untill the trucks body work is finished, after that the truck would go back to DD status, the camaro would be the toy, even though thats what the truck is, i dunno, but Ive wanted one for quite some time.
