I will never get a flu vaccine again. Ive only got a flu vaccine 3 times in my life and of those three times Ive gotten the flu twice. I got my vaccine in December ONLY because my son was born in September and was told I should really get it for his sake. So I obliged and got my vaccine all the name of being a good father and then this weekend I started getting sick. Felt wierd, kinda achy, the normal flu symptoms but thought "nah it cant be flu, I got my vaccine" well I got the call from the Drs office from my test results and sure enough Ive got the flu. Besides the fact that the vaccine always makes me feel like **** for a couple days, the fact that 2 out of 3 times it doesnt work for me is enough to not get it anymore.
So this is my friendly PSA to say the flu vaccine sucks(atleast for me) and is not worth getting.
PS Dayquil and Nyquil work wonders on fever, I had a 103.9 fever last night at 1030 and by 12 it was down into the 100.Xs after a cold *** shower.

We get them free too but Ive always just passed on getting one due to me feeling they didnt work but I got talked into doing it this year against my better judgement. This only solidifies my stance that the vaccine **** doesnt work atleast for the flu and for me.

So, u had to get a flu shot, then get another blood draw shot just to diagnose you w/. flu? That's 2 shots too many!!! I'd be
!Plus, he told me I'd need a flu shot every yr., as it evolves or rather mutates.

I also got a pneumonia shot; that hasn't been done since I was a kid before i could remember. That shot needs to be done every 5 yrs. I believe.
To be honest, I get sick usually 2x a yr. When it goes from cold-hot in spring & later when it changes from hot-cold in late fall or early winter. I usu. get a runny nose & a sore throat. Maybe some aches, but that could be from my job.

I don't get all the other **** most do.
For those of you guys that don't get sick, count your blessings.
I wouldn't think it's as important to get down there as opposed to colder climates.

I don't get sick often, and normally once a semester, probably similar to blu
Being young, I'm supposed to get flu shots regularly each year, but really I haven't since the last time (and probably 1st or 2nd time ever) I got one the whole family ended up bed-ridden with the flu. It was a snowy week too and we didn't get to play outside and I was young and it was just miserable
My dad was same way, he got a flu shot and ended up with a terrible case of the flu, and then 10 years later he gave it another shot and it happened again, so our family just doesn't find it worth it at all, even if it's free, because ultimately they're injecting you with the virus, and it's probable you won't feel great

Glad to see Im not the only one who feels like the flu shot is worthless. My mom got all pissed when I texted her and told her I was never getting a flu shot again. You wouldve thought I slapped her or something.
