Gas prices $5+ predicted by summer.

I'll donate $5 a gallon of gas I buy to fund bombs to blow that place the **** up.

IBTL!
Regular 87 already costs over 5 bucks to the American gallon here. And with the way the dollar is, it's about 5.15 a gallon. You'll live, while many many folks over there will not...

Americans might live, but many who drive long distances to work will not survive this. As well as the entire tourism industry.

im not up to date on all of this oil crap, but dont we have enough resources to produce our own oil? $5 a gallon is going to kill me. i drive over an hour to and from work. i put 50 into my car last night and fill up every 4 days getting 26mpg.

I guarantee they'll survive. Unless someone has a heart attack at the site of the gas price sign going up, but then they probably had it coming anyways. I'm not making light of it, paying a lot for fuel hurts, but what can we do about it other than try to burn less? Or try to find a way to afford it? I'd go out on a limb to say of the active members on this site, I personally probably fork over the most cash on fuel. I live in a small town, and if I need a jug of milk on the weekend, or a roll of electrician's tape anytime, I have to drive 20 miles to buy it in an expensive oil town. After Katrina when gas was $5.60 a gallon I frequently made the 60 mile one way trip to see The Girl, probably 3 or 4 times a week. I'm also a farmer. Try fueling up this bitch...

During harvest, that will burn through 160 gallons of diesel a day! Plus we have to fuel up 2 half tons, at least one tractor, and a 500 horsepower grain truck. It SUCKS! But it's completely necessary to do what we do for a living. If I have to miss out on something I really like to afford what I really need, that's just how it is. So it's no use complaining, it's just gotta be done.

Yes we do (or I should say did) have the resorces to pull our own oil but our wonderful president has blocked all oil exploration and drilling from the gulf. We can't drill in ANWAR because the bears will suposidly get pissed off even though the location is basically a waist land.

I drive about 60 miles every day to get to the office. This is going to hurt bad if gas gets that high.
