Extended Warrany Recommendations?
#2
If you're anything of a mechanic, I would avoid the extended warranty completely. I can't speak for everyone else, but I have had horrible experience with dealerships and would not count on the warranty to fix anything at all. I've had service reps lie to my face, and shake their head in disbelief and send me on my way, even when I show them exactly what the problem is.
This is obviously heavily biased, but take it for what its worth. If anything, get an extended warranty from a third party company that lets you take the vehicle places other than the dealership. Then you can pick your own well known, reputable mechanic. They're more than happy to do the work if your warranty is going to pay for it, not you.
