Thumbs up Found another one

Hey, Spoolin, this Scuderi cycle engine is pretty slick.

http://www.scuderigroup.com/

It's capable of a self contained 2 stroke supercharged cycle for power, and various other configurations via modifying the actuating valves in the crossover pipe. Just imagine turbocharging that Biotch! They're advertising some pretty high efficiency on that one as well.

I like what Fiat is doing with their "Multi-air" limitless valvetrain technology, as well as what Nissan is doing with their 3.7L V6 valvetrain. We're getting ready to do away with throttle bodies and fixed camshaft lobe profiles, pretty soon the cam lobe will be a profile on a computer that commands a ramp rate, max lift and duration. Now that I'd love to see on an LS engine top-end!

personally, I think that the future lies with Ferrari, Mercedes, Honda, etc... engine design theory. Pure power and efficiency. Minimal clearances, low drag, KERS (kenetic energy recovery system)...

Basically, the systems that you see in Formula 1 being transferred into production vehicles. That's what the original premise of formula 1 was, to display the absolute forefront in automotive technology. They are squeazing 1000BHP out of 2.4L enignes at 18K rpms. To say that there is room for improvement in the engines we are currently running is a bit of an understatement. Can't wait for Formula 1 season...next week!!!
