Default Photo Printer

What's a good printer for pictures? My printer is ~5 years old (HP Photosmart 1100) and needs replacing. Primary purpose photo printing with occasional document.

Is the HP B8550 a good choice?

Either HP or Kodak brand printers. You know usally the higher the price tag the better the quality. Check newegg.com they might have some information on photo printers.

I got a nice photoprinter, cant remember the brand right off, but by the time you pay for the paper and the ink its alot cheaper to just go into a store such as costco and get them to print off your pics for 10 cents a copy, but its still nice having one when you dont have the time

It might be cheaper to go to the store and have them print but the quality from this printer is probably a bit better and I like to edit my own work. It's another hobby that drains my wallet but I enjoy it.

Now all I need is Adobe CS4

I agree it's cheaper to just edit the pics and get them ready, then either put them on an online photo storage and have them mail you prints or go to the store.
At the same time it does help to have your own. I have an HP2575 but need to get a new one as this one keeps jamming.

CS4 is great. I love it
