I know a guy that broke his back one time falling out of a deer stand. I slipped and fell out climbing down one time myself; luckily I had handed my rifle down to my uncle who was waiting on me at the bottom of the ladder. I hate to see stuff like this happen; I couldn't imagine hanging like that.

I was told this by a guy who has a lease near mine. Apparently some poor guy was climbing down from his tree stand and a deer attacked him. Guy no longer hunts, seeing as how he had multiple internal lacerations and a eye gouged out. Now I'm not sure if thats true or not, but if it is, OW.
