Seriously.

I'm trying to order something for my gf off a website, but the company is in japan and the website is in japanese of course.

I've tried babel fish or whatever to translate the site, but no luck. Nobody in the states carries thier product either as far as I know. I've navigated to what I think is the checkout page, but it's in freakin' yen and it won't let me advance further.

Maybe try to copy and paste into http://www.freetranslation.com/ ?

I had a full on conversation with a German guy from ebay one time using that site to translate what he said, lol.

You better find out if it is something you can bring in to this country.
If not it will make it as far as customs and that is where it will sit.

Its just a stuffed animal of sorts. Nothing that customs should have a problem with, as long as it's not filled with something other than stuffing.

PM me a link. No promises - I can only read a little, but I have some practice navigating some "odd" japanese sites

It's very likely though that that particular outfit won't ship overseas...
