I emailed Rick at STS and he told me to go to my truck and load the current tune in the PCM into the Predator and email it to him and he will tell me if its the tune I had in it last. If they did reset the PCM there is no way they can fight me on this. If they didn't, that makes it harder for me, but it's still their fault. I manage to put 5,000 miles on my truck with no problems and it blows up on them in one day??? DAMN, DAMN, DAMN, I just remembered my Predator was in the back seat. Even if they did reflash it, they could have put the tune back in if they know how a Predator works.

man, hope it all works out, ive fought chevy's customer service center, went from top to bottom to top again with no help, why, just cause i had some rust starting under my stock hood around the latch, my truck was not even a year old. so i hope you have better luck than i did , get a lawyer and any thing from STS document wise would prob help, also reserch the MAGNUSON- MOSS ACT. which states that people can modify there vehicle and the company cant void thier warranty.like throwing in a k+n filter, or changing exhaust.

Yeah I had a problem with the dealer taking my truck for a joy ride and messed my truck up. I took it to them to just get oil changed and service while I was at school well before Football practice we had to run to my buddies house that lived right down from the dealer to get his stuff, and about time we pulled out of his driveway in his truck I saw my truck come flyin by with the dealer truck following them. I was like what the hell, I told my buddy to follow them and as we caught up they pulled into a church outside of town and swapped drivers and they pulled out as we turning around and about that time they dipped out into outside county with my truck and had them a blast. Needless to say I called my parents and told them and they went to the dealer and raised pure hell and could have got the mechanics fired but we let is slide as long as they fixed the tranny that they helped me finish burning up. Now I write down the mileage and member gas gauge everytime now when I take my truck somewere. I also had a black boy from a local Carwash ask me one time why did my truck start hoping when it spins, and I was like how the hell you know what it does when it starts spinning and he quickly found they the nearest exit and left before I could say anything else I guess thats one reason he always told me he deliver mytruck back to me for free. I all I half to say is F*CK them F*CKERS.

Exactly said, when I was take my automotive classes (I took classes so I don't have to rely on someone to fix my truck) back in 99-00, I remember several of my fellow classmates driving POS, couple of beaters w/heaters, and the famous mom taking you to school. I have meet up with a couple of them in last couple of years and they are still driving POS and beaters w/ heaters.

These are a couple of people I would not want them to work on my truck or car. When I was taking these classes I had a 4.0 in mechanic school, but a 3.5 in pre-engineering, most of these guys could barely get a 2.5 in mechanic school. Those were the days of 24 hr. semester, 12 hr. in mechanic (night classes), and 12 in pre-engineering (morning classes). When I was taking Calculus 3 and Differential Equation, most were in remedial Math 1 or 2, maybe for the second time, only a few were in College Algebra. I remember when the instructor was going over how to calculate the volume of a cylinder, pretty simple, took the whole 2 hr. class period to explain this. After that I went up to the instructor and ask him if I could miss all the other classes dealing with math, instead he wanted me to teach the class so he could miss it.

from a dealer technician's standpoint- I do agree that there are idiots who will take modded vehicles out for beat runs, but there are many more who are honest and respect the owner's hard work they've put into their car or truck. I never have, and never will thrash on someone else's vehicle at work to see what it will do, period.

I was even prepared they might get on it. So I turned the boost down and turned on the meth. What do they do...turn off the meth. That in and of itself is not that big of a deal for a couple WOT runs, but do it to much without the meth and IAT's go up and KABOOM. I also think they reflashed the computer. I am going to bring my Predator to the dealer tommorow and tell them I need into my truck to get the tune out of it and compare it to what I originally had in it. Either way, it blew up on their watch. They should pay. At least I have a motorcycle to get around on. If it starts taking to long I have a 1966 drag bug project that I can put on the road and re-license. All I can do is think happy thoughts and hope they own up to it without to much hassle.
