I heard. My mom told me about an hr or so ago. Terrible tradgedy. Very sad to hear. Very glad God watches over all of us while were at the track, imagine if he didnt have the kinda safety gear he has and that kinda thing happened. Prayers with his family.

That one hits hard. I've known Scott since before he got his driver's license. When we were sponsered by Rolling Rock Beer, he used to come over to our trailer to sneak a beer before his dad got to the track. When his dad finally let him build his own car, he had to do all the work. Assemble the car, drive the truck/trailer (and not one of those glitzy 18 wheelers, but an old Ford SuperCab, and used gooseneck trailer) to the track, tune it, AND drive it, then fix what he blew up, which was a lot. The first was the injected nitro dragster, then the blown alcohol dragster. When he finally made the step up to Top Fuel we all knew he was going to be a good one. After winning 2 World Championships, he stepped back to help run the family business. When the Kalitta Air business got to be a powerhouse in the charter business, he got back behind the wheel a few years ago.
God speed, Scott, and my condolences to the whole Kalitta Motorsports crew. We lost a good one there..........................................

Not sure if I'm following you here. Force did grow up in a trailer coming from a poor family and look where he is today. Give the guy some credit. Sorry to hear about Scott leaving us. He will be missed. Vince
Here is a video of the crash. For those of you that do not wish to see it dont open this link.

there has been alot of talk on other forums about the wall at the end of the track and whether or not NHRA messed up on safety regarding wall placement...the vid makes it appear the walll was a staright on shot..here is a pic and it clearly shows it isnt a head on shot....

RIP
