Default Dallas/Houston

So, in 2 years I will be relocating from St. Louis. My main picks as of now are Chicago, Dallas, and Houston. I love Chicago, but I'm sick of cold nasty winters. Seems like you can't beat the winter weather, or lack thereof, in Texas. Texas also seems to be the mecca for anything performance related, which is enticing. So those of you who live there, specifically the two cities I listed, what are your thoughts? How are concealed carry laws there?

i lived in Houston for a couple of years and i liked it, thinking of moving back. i just never liked dallas because of the traffic. it always seemed to be way worse than houston. BTW now you can carry concealed in your vehicle without a CHL.

I live just outside Chicago and its great EXCEPT for the damn cold winters. I too have considered moving to Texas, been to San Antonio a few times and always liked it. All the women were really nice and kept calling me a "yankee".

Really won't be any worse than St. Louis, so it's not an issue. Job will be inside

If you are complaining about winters, then you want to be in DFW - I was in Katy (west of Houston 30-mins) in mid-Feb and that was one of the coldest places I've been in my life LOL. Here in north Texas I've only worn my coat a handful of times in the last few years. Also, IMO more active car scene, but I could be wrong on that.
