Default CV Joints

How hard is it to install cv joints? Do you have to replace the whole axle? If it makes a difference, this is for a mid-late 90s Civic. I have been trying to do a little research, and it looks like to get the axle out, you have to unbolt from one side, and slide the axle out of the hub. Obviously there is more to it then that, but is it that difficult? Any help is appreciated.

yes, you can get just the cv joint, but if you go to like autozone you can score some aftermarket sets with both cv joints and the half shafts for under 100 a side, Iwould just go that path. You will have to pull the shocks/struts off and remove the suspension uprights from the A-arms and unbolt the hubs then pull the shafts from the tranny and assmebly in reverse, never done a honda but it should be too bad as long as you can get he struts off...

Sounds easy enough, but it always sounds easy. Anybody else?
