Cops shoot a guy 10 times
#21
First of all did anybody see what he did when he hit the ground? How do you know he didnt reach for a firearm after he hit the ground? Or had a vest on?
I wouldnt say it was uncalled for cause i have no idea what exactly happened.
And you just dont shoot 2 times and just go get back in your car. You shoot till the threat is eliminated. If you have never been in that sort of situation then you dont know the adrenaline and reactions.
If somebody goes to swing a weapon at my partner beside me then its game on, your goin down whether it takes 1 round or 30 rounds. He did what he had to do. You can nit-pick everything they did. But both the officers (good guys) survived and went home at the end of their shift. All they have to do is top their mags off and get back at it the next shift.

Good friend of mine is a NARC and they raid drug houses weekly, he has told me that it takes quite a few rounds to put down somebody jacked up on drugs. One house they entered at night and this guy picked up an AK and was bringing it up when they come thru the door. He put a quick burst in his chest, it didnt phase him, put another burst in him and ended up dumping a whole mag out of his MP5 to take him down. He started using his M4 after that.
It takes more than a couple bullets so be prepared if you got to defend your life.

Totally justified. The crowbar, or whatever it is, is a lethal weapon and you don't meet lethal force with less lethal force. They even tried to tase him, which had no effect. Releasing the dog would not have prevented him from inflicting serious injury or killing someone. Lethal force at that point was the only option.

totally justified, whether it was excessive or not is a different story. But when you get stupid ***** like this guy sittin in his "donk" video taping and laughing and giggling and **** it gets real hazy. Put yourself in the situation. You've given multiple commands to someone that has been threatening unarmed civilians. Adrenaline dump, he comes at you looking like hes swinging. Your gonna pull the trigger, not bend down and say "go get em pup, this ones all you rex". Cuz he could just as easily struck and killed the dog and still come for you. In which case its even more justified.

you're being a little left wing here. How many of those shots actually hit the guy is unknown for one. As well as anyone with any firearms training is NOT trained to "kill" or to shoot to "injury, but survive". They are trained to STOP the threat. They did just that.
