I am looking to add a flamethrower to my truck. I used to have a 78 dodge and did the spark plug in the exhaust thing, but now I have a newer truck with cats. I am planning on propane, but I am having trouble finding a 12V solenoid that will allow the release of 20 psi. Can I use a nitrous solenoid? And if not, what else could I use to allow propane to flow from the tank to the exhaust tip? I was considering using a manual ball valve in the cab, but I don't really want to run lines to the cab. I understand the safety issues involved as well as the legal aspects.

I recently saw an episode of Monster Garage where they used a nitrous solenoid
for a flame thrower kit they were putting on.

I also saw this, but they were using gasoline. The other two websites you guys posted are exactly what I had done before with a junkyard coil. They are cool, but you have to kill the motor to get enough unburned fuel through the pipes and have no cats. I want to flip a switch, whether I am at a stoplight, under acceleration, or just cruising and have a flame shoot out.
