I had a guy pull up next to me in a Ram a while back and ask
"What kind of exhaust is on your truck, a Flowmaster?"
Being that I have no converters and no muffler I said "None" he gave me a weird look and then I said "a turbo, no cats, no muffler, no more time to talk gotta go."

I've heard a few things...

ignorant dude: "all guys that drive pickup trucks are rednecks"

me: "I was born in the city of Paterson, NJ"

ignorant dude: "you're still a redneck"

me: wtf, while rolling my eyes

also, when I had 33's

dude: "Why do you need tires that big"

me: "I don't need them, I just like them that way"

dude: "I don't get it..."

Ive gotten alot of stupid phrases said to me but the most recent was i pull into a sonic where every one hangs out and some friends wanted to see me new intake and i had the hood popped and people was coming over to check out and these two ricer kids with hondas come up and yells out "Dude check out his ******* air filter, just think how much power I can add with that" i busted up laughin along with every one else, we kinda ran them off..but with the aluminum intake all the steel braided lines and nitrous parts he's going on about my damn air filter..

had a guy one time askin if my truck had a 383 in it i laughed and said no and he kept on tellin me i had to have a 383 in it for it to sound like that..told him it was a 6 liter and fuel injected..he was just confused then...

had people tell me i should get a hypertech and my truck would be alot faster

"Your S10 has an exhaust leak"
"This is one of those Grand National trucks"
"All these Syclones run 9s, I've seen them on YouTube"
"Where'd you get the custom Syclone intake?"
"What was the original color?"
"Why it so slow??"

Back when I still had my 4.8

Guy: "What size engine do you have?"

Me: "4.8 liters. That's 293 cubic inches."

Guy: "Oh yeah! a 283. I remember those!!"

Later when I was contemplating getting the 6.0, a different guy said "Why don't you just install a 350? It would be a lot easier and you would have more power." Ummmmm...... yeah..
