Default clay, trap, skeet......... what kind of ammo?

well im heading up to a buddies cabin for the weekend and looks like i will be bringing my 12 and 20 gauge to shoot some skeet. i went to walmart to buy some ammo and it looks like there is a bunch of different loads/ammo for shotguns. what is the best and cheapest ammo to use to shoot skeet with?

2 3/4 inch 7 or 8 shot. Something cheap will do the trick.
I always shot AA when shooting competition but that is to expensive to just shoot for fun. Fiocchi has some good ammo for trap/skeep that is fairly inexpensive but I dont think walmart sells it.

X2, just regular 2 3/4 shell 7 or 8 shot is for small birds and clays. i think i payed around $20 for a case of 100 shells last time i bought shells at walmart.

2 3/4 7 or 8. If you are shooting an auto you have to make sure you get heavy enough loads for them to cycle. My xtrema 2 hates those cheap *** winchester loads. If you are shooting a pump then it doesn't matter as much. If you're not shooting ducks or deer, cheaper the better!

100 shells for $21 at wall mart. For messing around that's your best bang for the buck.

I agree. I shot clays every friday for 5 years. Nothing but fun.

I always joke with friends that they don't want me shooting at them on the run...lol

good deal there. just make sure you have the right choke in. I think full is the best for sport clays IIRC.
