like chevy said... I respect and honor everyone for serving, especially if they're seen combat. Still doesnt make you a great person. I know a guy thats so bass ackwards on the Gov't I couldnt even stand to talk to him. His whole stance on life now was stupid and I wanted to punch him for it.

**** happens, not everyone who goes thru the military is competent. Sorry to say it but theres some people that couldnt even hold a job but left for the military because of free living and now they dont know how to take care of themselves.
Sorry you had to see that first hand Snacktime. Its over now so BP it up! haha

No you are not supposed to do anything, thats your right for his and others sacrafices. And WOW, you would not take your best friend in if he had no where to go. That does not mean that he is automatically going to just take advantage of you. I would guess with a friend like that people would not need enemys.

Army is not an excuse!
You are right Army is not an excuse. So what is? Is there one? or did he just get out and did not know who else to turn to or what to do? Did your best friend just want to use you for what he could?

why are you defending the guy? He obviously didnt care about screwing Snacktime over. If he did he would be trying to pay back the debt instead of eating up all his food and leaving.

Army has nothing to do with the guy being a bum. He just wanted to live there and mooch because his mom wouldn't let girls come over.
I'm sure Snacktime wouldn't be complaining if the guy said he had no money and nothing to his name and needed some where to go.

Taking the guy in knowing he can't pay or contribute is one thing. But this guy had plenty of expensive things and had agreed to pay rent. If you can and say you will then DO.

I am guessing that by this post that he gave him what he could and that Snacktime knew his situation. I am not defending the guy but just looking at it from all different angles and asking questions. The guy maybe a bum. You two are covering one side so I just decided to cover the others. Do you guys know him personally? You seem to know more than what was posted on here, and can judge him pretty easiley. I am not saying Snacktime is not right, but there is always at least two sides to a story and usually what happens is somewhere in the middle. And Snacktime if he did screw you over sorry to hear it man.

i didnt say i wouldnt take my own friend in i said i wouldnt let him mooch off of me for not even a thank you or some sort of respect. i mean the man sold a tv half way fixed but never gave any money back as a thank you or anything to that sort? seems to me he is the one who forgot what a real friend is not someone who lets them mooch expecting at least a thank you.

He should have stayed home, he wanted to be more independent and moved in with me. Problem is he never should have strait up moved in. He is not out on his butt, he is at home with his mom and will stay there for a while!

This **** reminds me of my brother who served on the shitty kitty for 4 yrs. He got out of ait and came home for a week before he left for japan. He's dating a girl the whole. Meets her sister. Marries her on friday and leaves on sunday. Didnt last a year. But as far as having money. You'd think being active with nothing to do or on ship at sea for awhile would help you save money.... WRONG!!!!! He was always calling home wanting money wired. He was buying cds dvds, an $800 camera with $3000 of lens'. Some people just blow the money.
