Story about my last roomate...

Well we had Jake move, he just got back from Iraq and didn't want to stay with his mom. Fine he a good friend from high school and needed a room. Well I let him move in and told him to pay me at the end of the month since he was waiting on some money.

Well end of the month and no rent so I told him out, gave him a 30 day notice just so I was legal. Well he stayed the whole 30 days and ate me out of house and home...

Finally got him out, got a total of $200 for two months and that didn't even cover what he ate. He is now completely broke? I know he is, but damn the little things...

He just came by and took his TV that I fixed and thought I got to keep since he didn't huff up any money. Well he sold it to another friend and came by to pick it up.

I let it go and I let him go, he no longer is welcome around. Damn good friend that is just to damn stupid. I hope he understands that whoever he sells that TV to is going to kill him when they find out I wasn't done fixing it.

 

You handled it much nicer than I would have.

 

Well, he has a few bad habits. He will try and bring someone to my place since his mom doesn't like him bring girls home. Then we will be even when I slam the door in his face.

 

that's too bad. You did what you had to do, you tried to help and it did not work out. It's just too bad that it cost you.

Must have been in debt before he went over, it's easy to make close to 10k in 3 months overseas for single no dependents lower enlisted... Or someone had access to his $$$ while he was over. A lot of guys go over and come back home to nothing, it's fubar.

Still no excuse for what he did, he should have stayed with his parents.

 

yeah Im still baffled how this **** is "broke" after a tour in Irag? My buddy spend a yr and a half in Afghanistan, his wife at the time left him and took all his ****, money, etc. and he still came back and was able to buy an 07 R1 and move in to his parents' town house in Tempe, granted rent is lowered obviously, but c'mon, somethings not right with that guy

My brother has only been in since August and he makes enough to get his own apartment.. come on.


He must be in the ARMY

 

Very common. I remember all the guys in basic training whose old ladies left them, and that was only 10 weeks total! Also when I was in basic (a little over 3 years ago), I remember a DS telling us the Army has the highest divorce rate out of all the branches, which was around 70% IIRC, might have been around 60%. IDK if it's true or not, but from what I've seen it is lol
