Well, it fineally happened. Some guy, not paying attention slammed into me tonight. Im slowing down at a light, he, well, Didnt. And there goes my truck. Its definately not totaled but that little ranger was no match for my 2500, and her bumper. I guess the good news is I get the scrach in the bed fixed for free, I can now afford that wicked tough steel step bumper, and that scrached tail light is now in 30+ peices. Life is good and nobody got hurt, and to top it off it wasnt even my fault. Pictures will soon be posted.

My Dad was hit three times in his old 2500HD ECLB 4*4 6.0L. I was with him each time.
Incident one
A VW Jetta rearends him in stop and go traffic because the guy is trying to keep anyone from merging in front of him. That was a light hit and didn't even scratch the truck. The trailer ball knocked the little symbol outta the VW grill is the only damage.
Incident two
Some waitress who looked like she had been working 2 days straight falls asleep(I assume) and rearends him at a stop light. Mashed the front of her old Monte Carlo up a little bit but, didn't do a damn thing to the truck.
Incident three
We're slowing down for traffic that is stopped when a girl in a Corvette two cars behind us doesn't and plows into the car directly behind us and pushes it sideways into the back of the truck. The trailer hitch and ball completely WRECKED the rear passenger door of the car. If someone was actually in there they probably would've lost their legs at the least.
That incident finally bent the mount for the trailer hitch and knocked some chrome off the ball.
I guess it finally had enough rearend hits and was like forget it man.
Other than that the truck was perfect.
Sorry to hear your truck was hit but, it sounds like you'll make out ok on it.
Glad everyone is alright.

Man, that's almost not a rear end...looks like they tried to swerve out of the way and just barely caught you...above your bumper at that. Can you say new paint job for the bed? Glad everyone is okay!

Dude GMAC insurance is the best, there replacing the whole bedside and I had previously hit a pool ripping stumps out of the ground and scrached it a little...well alot and there footing the bill for that. And that ugly chrome bumper costs over $400? The money isnt going to anything chrome. Its most of the bill for the "ranch hand cowboy bumper" thats gonna replace it, and they said that was cool by them if the stealership dont mind, and they dont. I love GM!
