I have a stock 5.3 '05 crew cab with just a resonator and I can break the tires loose on my 17" Kumho's which grip very well. I dont even have to powerbrake it.

Not being able to spin isn't necessarily a bad thing. Does it launch pretty hard? If it does then it sounds like you're able to do something most of us have been trying to accomplish unsuccessfully for a while.

i cant power brake also, but i read that GM did something with the programing so that it detects when you have the brake pressed, it limits power output.

I can launch pretty hard without even chirping but it will go kind of sideways into second. But i can still do a standstill.

Surprised no one ask what gears you have. If you really want to spin that bad, add a torque converter with a little higher stall. 3500 should be good

Of course then you will be posting "cant stop spinning"

I had the same problem with my 05. It has to be caused by Torque Management, once I got a tune that reduced torque management I was able to spin the tires.
