I have had a renegade for over a year now and i love it. Dont have anything bad to say about it besides the lack of fenders when i ride the creek! lol There is no way to stay dry but i guess i should have gotten an outty if i wanted that. But anyway i couldnt ask for a better riding bike and it has tons of power for a 4x4. Id recommend one.

Yeah my buddy is buying that one. I want the 800xmr, but id settle for the 800xt/1000xt. I dont need the biggest baddest 4 wheeler around, but it is nice knowing that it already has everything id wanna upgrade plus i dont have to do the work on it

im fixing to buy a 4 wheeler myself and i've been researching.acouple of my buddys have newer rancher 420's with 2in lift kits and 31" outlaws.i rode one of them.it has plenty of power.it ran 61mph with gps.you can get them in manuel or auto(i'd rather have manuel)you can buy one for 4800 unless you get a automatic or power steering or both.alot of guys that has seen the renegade 1000 in person says with outlaws on them, they can't be stopped in the mud.the arctic cat mudpro 1000 looks badass also.i don't know how much they cost but they have 2 more inches of ground clearease than the 800rmr or renegade with smaller tire.so they have room to grow.if i was gone spend 13k it would be either the arctic cat mudpro 1000,renegade 1000 or 800rmr but i think im just gone buy a rancher 420.its all the 4 wheeler i need and the price sounds alot better and honda is reliable

i dont have a set budget...there's nothing wrong with signing on the dotted line to bring it home. i have a house note and a truck note thats it. i wont have a truck note for much longer either besides my wife is out of school so im saving on the school loan now.

im going to have to look up those atvs you mentioned. i dont need the biggest baddest like i said, but i want something i know will handle anything i tend to throw at it. your basic mud riding, trail riding, and pulling trees for bonfires.

I traded in a 08 rancher 420 for my renegade. It's was really a great bike but it was just not enough for what all I do. It was simple and reliable. But I would never own a Honda with those 680cc motors. Transmissions absolutely suck after a while and are finicky with cold weather. I know this from experience.

artic cat mudpro 1000 is 14200 vs 800 xmr 13200 and has 1" more clearance with 28" tires vs the xmr at 30" tires.

i wasn't sure about the price of mudpro but it has 14" of ground clearance with 28s.with 31's it would have 15.5"....the xmr has 12" of ground clearance with 30" tires,so there's not as much room to go bigger.sounds like for what your wanting to do the rancher can handle it

niff its funny how all we all think alike. I too am researching a 4 wheeler purchase right now. I want something my wife and me and my little girl can get on and go watch everyone tear their stuff up lol. doesn't need to be bad *** but I want it to have enough if I need it. been looking at the forman 500 since I had one a few years ago. nice bike and very fun, but I also haven't driven a vtwin bike yet either

Hard decision...... also considering a jeep, you can use it on the road too!

Yea thats almost rediclous on the price of the can-ams.
Ive got a 05 foreman 500 that hasnt let me down yet with about a million miles on it. And you could get 2 of them for the price of one of the can-ams, plus no belt haha. i despise a belt driven bike.

But then again i dont care about goin fast or getting there in a hurry on a 4wheeler so i guess thats where it differs..

My vote is a Foreman 500
