Okay I have a question for these two time slips, how can the MPH be slower and the time be faster?
Here are phone pictures of the slips.
The faster time and slower MPH

The faster MPH and slower time

Some one break this down to me and how is it possible. Because I am on how it works like that.

a tenth gained in the 60' is near 2 tenths in the 1/4. you cut a solid tenth in the 60' between the 2 passes.

looks like your first slip got good traction so it MPH'd a little less. when you spin the tires you will MPH more.

increase the wheelspeed sooner and you'll MPH better, but not necesarily e/t better. better 60' times normally equal faster e/t's but show no increase in mph. think of it as e/t being the measurement of tq/traction, and mph being the measurement of hp.... not exact science but a general rule of thumb...

Very common occurance. My best times are not my best speeds. The answers above are dead-on correct.

this is a perfect example why the entire race is based in the first 60'. if you cant hook, go home and make changes until it does hook. if your spinnin you aint winnin
