Thanks Jim Caldwell, coach of Indy Colts.
I'm so irritated. He ruined what should've been the perfect season. History no more.
And to think I was goin to go the 4.5 HR drive to see Indy play.

Isn't this the same coach that coached them through the winning streak? 14 wins? 1 loss?
HOW COULD YOU LOSE?! HOW DARE YOU! Wait, you won 14 times in a row? Never mind that! HOW COULD YOU LOSE?

Favre needs to talk to Peyton & explain he has to handle Caldwell the same way Brett did w/. Childress.

you should be happy, this way it will hurt less when they lose in the playoffs, when compared how it would feel to lose with a perfect season going..

Peyton could've stayed in & won the game. He wasn't gonna get knocked out of game in 4Q. Teams can barely get to him, that's why he has a NFL for lowest sacks of 10, IIRC. That means is "O" line is sound.
When, or if they lose in playoffs? No matter how they do on playoffs, only 2 teams have gone undefeated. '72 Dolphins when less games were played & more recently, the NE Pats. But now, thanks to Caldwell's decision we'll never see this year. He just had to listen to the advice of his buddy Dungee & rest his starter.
Consider this, in a previous yr., when rested, Peyton didn't go as far when Dungee did this before. When he left him in, Manning won the Super Bowl in another particular year. Therefore, he thrives on consistency. I don't feel it's was worth it to disrupt that rhythm, the potential for a 16-0 season since all that was left was Buffalo ( a sure win there). I believe that woulda carryed him & his team. Their morale & his woulda been ridin high. That momentum would've helped in playoffs.
Now, I guess we'll see if it worked. It may, it may not. But, u can't get back this perfect season.

I'm pretty sure they are just thinking about the playoffs now. I'm a Pats fan, but a perfect season isn't worth a hill of beans if you lose(choke) in the playoffs.
FWIW, my girlfriend is a Colts fan. She's as pissed as you are right now, Tom.
