Whats up guys, been a good while since i posted in here since I usually just post on instagram and FB. Just easier I guess, anyways still up to my usual with the black truck, build break repeat lol. Is looking a little nicer though. Got me a new tow truck last year and also recently finally jumped into the Gen V ring with a 2017 single cab 4x4. That truck is in the process of a 6.2/10l90 swap just waiting on parts for the forged rotating assemble to come in. When I bought the truck i put a Edelbrock 2650 blower on it right away (something different then the turbos im used to)and don't regret it one bit. Power 24/7 at any rpm. In preparation for the forged 6.2 I ported it and opened it up to 111mm to fit the Kong 112 TB and modified the water manifold to accepts bigger lines as the stock manifold is known for unequal flow. Anyways just wanted to throw a little update on here and see what you all are up to.
I will say I do love the way the Edelbrock looks, but curious about how it performs compared to a Whipple. Seems the Whipple is the favorite option on the 14+ trucks.
Nice. What did you run at the track with the 2650? Any dyno numbers?
i never took it to the track, i put it on for a couple months then bought a 6.2/10speed setup and pulled the blower off to get the port injection done on it. Once my rotating assembly comes in for the 6.2 and get that motor finished up it will all go back in. Ill dyno it and take it out to the track then. If i had to guess with the 5.3 on 13lbs was prob in the lower 12 second range give or take.

I went with the edelbrock because yeah the whipple is the more common choice but as of lately the 2650 blowers have been making some very impressive numbers. The Kong blowers (built by Edelbrock) are up in the 1100-1200 range with a couple upgrades. I have opened mine up considerably and mated it to a 112 tb not to mention modified the water manifold and pump so i expect mine to be right there if I decide to push it. Realistically i was 850 to the wheel boost only. The motor can prob do 1000-1100 but i don't have any desire to push it that far since this is just a daily driver setup. Think with that power and a 10 speed behind it it will be more then quick enough for a majority of the cars around here. If not I always have my other truck lol.

The guy who just built my stainless exhaust builds his port injection setup for the Edelbrock series. I was probally watching him fit your injector brackets while talking to him. Lol
