Cool Anyone here had Lasik ??

I'm going for a pre-op exam tomorrow. Sick and tired of wearing glasses so hopefully they won't find any reason to disqualify me for lasik. Just wondering if any of you have had it done and what you think.

At my Previous Job my 2 bosses had Lasik done on both their eyes and they said they loved it! Just the day of the ordeal your goin to feel weird and they pain medicine is cool...
Kindof Expensive but they said its well worth it since one of them staired at a computer screen all day and the other one loved to hunt so he didnt have to worry about contacts or glasses interferring with his Scope or binoculars...

I stare at a computer screen all day too. I think it would also nice to be able to go out and goof off at the lake and not have to worry about my glasses.

I know that feeling. That's what I have been saying to myself for the last few years. Now I finally decided that I can make the payments and just get it done.

I just had it done about 4 months ago. It is GREAT!!!!

I went from not being able to see **** without my glasses to having slightly better than 20/20 vision in both eyes.

The surgery is no big deal at all. They gave me two Tylenol PMs before the surgery and put some numbing drops in my eyes. I sat there and watched 2-3 people before me on the monitor which was pretty cool.

The little tool they use to cut the flap is cool. You just feel a little pressure is all because of the numbing drops but, nothing bad at all. The second eye you feel more pressure than the first eye but, it still isn't bad. They aren't sure why that happens but, most likely because your body has had time to react after the first one.

When the laser was pulsing I could smell some burning flesh smell was about the only unnerving thing.

When the laser is done they just smooth the flap back down and load your eye up with drops.

It took about a couple minutes total once I got in the laser room.

There is a little discomfort afterwards but, if you lay down for a while(Tylenol PMs ) when you get home you should be able to sleep through most of that.

My eyes were pretty dry for a couple months afterwards and I went through a ton of wetting drops but, everything is back to normal now.

If you are a good candidate then do it, it's great. I have wore glasses or contacts for about 18-19 years and now I don't need them. What a great feeling.

Just a quick question, how do they keep you from moving your eyes?
