Long story short I need to do an auto bleed with the ABS pump and the dealer wants 300 bucks to do it and you have to have a tech II to turn the ABS pump on to bleed the whole brake system.

Might try calling some repair shops local to you. Those things arent cheap, I doubt many members here would have a use for one.

My friend has one Cody. Not that it will do you any good. Don't you know any local techs that have one? By the way, how have you been? Have not talked to you for a while.

Over the years Ive read where some people have them, and a couple have gone up for sale on here too so I was hoping one of them would be willing to let me borrow it for a weekish of course Id pay shipping both ways and throw a little cash their way.

Is that "auto bleed" a diesel thing? I have never heard of it before.

It's a preprogrammed function of the Tech II that causes the actuators to modulate in the ABS valve body there-by expelling any air from the internal hydraulic circuits. From what I hear it is very hard to bleed the ABS body without it.

O.P., if you find someone that is willing to let you borrow one for a while I would be willing to pay rent plus shipping to use it! I have the same problem with mine, soft pedal that I can't get rid of!!!!!

Ive bled 3 quarts of fluid through my lines and still couldnt get the pedal feel right so this is the only way for me to make it right. I had a banjo fitting leak and I left the line open for about a month while I waited on stainless braided lines and apparently the air pocket made its way up to the ABS motor
