Ive been looking around for an HD hood for my truck and really havnt found anything...there is a body shop behind where I work and I asked them where they got there stuff and they told me so I call the place...sure enough they have an 02 HD hood in stock for $230 bucks...so Im kinda stuck in a rut on weather or not to buy it...I went and looked at it and its fiberglass but looks really good...lol the place is all japs so Im sure its made over seas but I just wanted to see if anyone had bought an aftermarket hood besides a cowl...what do you guys think?...

 

I probably wouldnt get a fiberglass hood. Up to you though.

Call around to some big and small junk yards and see if anyone has a good one, either undamaged or easily repairable.

When I did my 06 clip we got the hood from a junkyard that supplies parts to body shops(my friends father owns a body shop) its a gm hood the place gets parts when gm makes too many or if a wrecked truck comes in with a good hood they pull it off. They recently got something like 200 brand new gm truck frames, right about the time gm switched over to the gmt-900s.
