So you never lay into your truck on the street?

I dont do top speed runs or anything I just like getting up to the speed limit or close to it quick which is why I like my 4wd traction.

Lack of traction is actually one thing that makes me hate driving my truck. A civic with two flat tires could pull away from me anywhere under 40mph...

I dont think I could stand just going up in smoke every time I tried to play around. I didnt know if the trucks Ive driven just didnt hook worth a **** and some of you guys were actually getting traction on the street.

Ive been looking through the classifieds everywhere looking for a crew cab NBS with high miles and Ive found a LOT of 2wds but I plan on running a cammed LQ4 with a radix or TVS on top and dont really care to not be able to use my power until 60+mph. Id consider running drag radials since my truck may get 4000 miles put on it a year at most but I wouldnt want to back half it or go four link just to get it to hook so I figured id ask this quesiton.

I still hook from a 30 punch... anywhere under that is a smoke show.

Im not making any ridiculous power but yeah... I think some good light weight 18" rims with some Nitto 555R's on the rear will solve the problem .

But for the time being I have to stick with 17" stockers and street tires for a long while

my blue truck dead hooked on motor with dr's and 10 feet out hit the nitrous and it would spin a lil but pull. but on street tires i could get sideways at 55 on motor.

but then again anything under 15 in my ss it spins shifts to second and keeps spinning. 30 punch does a lil shin dig but then goes.

I don't think I could ever make myself buy a 2wd truck, for multiple reasons.

Awd would be fun, but if i ever get to where i have major traction issues i think a four link and nitto 555Rs would be where i would look into
