Just read through the BS guys... Maybe he is an engineer but sit back and read his posts.... He givees no reason for basically anything he claims and uses the excuse that he isn't allowed too.

I'm an engineering student (marine) but don't know dick about computer code. As far as mechanical workings of the motor, I knew he didn't explain dick. Computers are witch craft, so I wouldn't have taken anything from those posts anyway

Exactly. His mechanical explanations are garbage too. If you know how an engine works (which quite a few people do including myself) you can see right through his answers because he just runs circles around any potential points of interest. It seems he makes sure that the answers are long and drawn out enough to hopefully lose the average guys interest so they don't pick up on his flaws. He has been called out by numerous posters on LS1Tech and really I think should be disregarded as a creditible source of information.
It's not that long before these engines hit the streets. Then you can know everything you want about them.

He also claimed that working the vvt on an ly6 in a manner that no one has yet will make t a monster. Mentioning that and not a higher compression vvt 6.2 seemed weird. It's just cam advance and retard no overlap adjustment like dohc/cam in cam ohv.

Maybe the example he used just because.... but you are exactly correct. And hell it's not rocket science how they accomplish the advance or retard action either considering it's a phaser operated by engine oil pressure.....
People are getting the hang of tuning the VVT and there are camshafts available for it. He just likes to make himself feel good I guess.

The engine is very advanced, the ECM is highly intelligent when it comes to making decisions based on input data. The engine is slightly and almost at the limits of stable combustion.... Don't panic this does NOT mean it is nearly maxed out in horsepower. It just means modifying the combustion cycle beyond physics is foolish. So what happens? So what Next? A dual mode ECM with even more exotic variables forget about 100's of coefficient models think thousands of engine operating models. The ECM is self aware and can choose what is best your laptop and tuning is NOT needed.
Nice try, Dodge or Ford guy
This guy basically talks in circles, repeatedly saying the same thing. There is no real information, except "the computer is smart, derrr"
