Default 150K miles

my truck rolled 150K yesterday while i was pulling a trailer to pick up a tractor for my mom's husband. when i arrived to get the tractor i got stuck in a mud puddle (didnt turn more than about 2500rpm in first trying to get out) and had to have the guy pull me out, on the way back to the house i stopped at Dairy Queen to get something to eat and when i started my truck back up it smoked like it was a diesel or something. when i pulled out of the parking lot it started missing and the check engine light started flashing at me but went off and stopped missing by the time it it third gear. now it ticks more than it ever has when i first start it up, feels down on power, my gf said it sounds different at wot also (maybe a little more raspy but i wasnt really paying attention and didnt want to try it again) and the exhaust smells weird like an old muscle car that has had a hard life. i hope this motor isnt on its way out the door cause i cant afford to replace it right now unless i sell my other truck (and im not going to drive it getting 10mpg), any ideas on whats going on with it? all of this happened within 30 miles of rolling 150K

there is no engine code, it flashed at me when it started missing but went off as soon as the missing stopped, the truck didnt bottom out, the ground was just too wet/slick for my worn out 275/45/20s to pull a trailer through

i have looked everything over including the exhaust. plugs are less than 6 months old. could my valve guides be leaking oil into the cylinder causing it to miss like that?
