They're on the gulf coast because that's a centralized location with shipping ports accesable from the Atlantic/Arabic Sea (Come around the south end of Africa and straight into the Gulf). The EPA won't let us build any more refineries, that's the bigger issue. The last one was built in the early 1970s, I think they're may be a few more people in the U.S. since then.... not that a lot of people drive or anything.

just 30miles north of me gas went from $3.60 to $5.17 today..

$4.49 here (New Bern, NC) until all the stations went dry. Luckily I filled up yesterday.
