Default $1700 to rebuild a 60E!!!

Suggestions and input needed!!

Well I called a transmission shop and got a quote of $1700 to rebuild and beef up my 60E. I think it's alittle steep but wanted to see what you guys thought. I'm gonna get a stall too while I'm at it,the transmission might not news to be rebuilt but figured might as well do it to be on the safe side even though the fluid is still red and doesn't smell burnt.

I know y'all are gonna say to do the 80E but I don't the space to do it and wish I knew someone trustworthy to do the swap for me because right now that seems to be the best thing to do. I can get a rebuilt 60E from the same guy I've used before on my old truck for $550 but it's not beefed up.

That's about average to do a 60e to be honest with good parts in it.

Sounds about right depending on parts... If that's WITH converter, that's way way too cheap...

Dang I wasn't expecting it to be that much. No it didn't include the converter, which for a good stall is like $400?

You could have LSX Powersports swap a 80e in. They are in Alvarado

Bet that costs an arm and a leg! Gonna talk to someone of the sponsors and see what they come up with price wise.

You can get a good converter for $500, but anything billet will be 700+ all day long... Those CNC machines don't pay for themselves
