Yes. I've seen a 6-lug to 5-lug adapter on the rears and a S-10 hub swap on the front. I don't have specific part numbers, but its been it done.

I am looking for the stuff to do the swap right now. If anyone could provide any info on this process I would appreciate it.

rear best way to do it is new axles, $390 for Moser and about $80 to plug and redrill the hubs also from Moser

you'll have to do the same thing to your rotors. if you run a 2pc rotor (usually big brake kit) you only have to do the hat once

Wouldn't that be downsizing? Why would you go to a weaker rear end?

WHAT!? Weaker? What do they come with? I'll be honest, I haven't looked. I was told they are weak reared like the Fbodies. I dunno I haven't screwed around with trucks before.
The stock rear will hold up to the 408 that I am putting in then? If so, I am more than happy. I'm just a 4l80 away from success.
my TB is a 5.3 v8 nonEXT. It is not an SS. Are there different rears?
