Default Newb? thinking of tradin' CTS-V for TB SS

I was thinking about selling my Caddy and getting a TBSS and was kinda wondering how you owner like yours and if you buy one again? and what kind of mods are must do.... and also is the 2wd or Awd better??

I was also wondering about the drivetrain, I see that they are all 6.0 but is that ls2 or is it iron block, and what trans are they all 4l80e, and rear axle im just guessing but i figure 10bolt like every other chevy under the sun...

LS2,14 bolt,4l70e(they are breaking stock). Me i would buy one again,i have a 2wd and it hooks great at the track with the stock tires(1.7s).A must is a tune and intake(these things are pigs stock). The 2wd are faster stock for stock than the awd.

It's an LS2 (aluminum block "vette" motor). The 4L70 is an "upgraded" 4L60E.

I'd buy another one now if I could justify it. Living in LA, I'd say stay with a 2wd.

As far as mods, just about everything you can do with a f-body or vette.

I'd also stay 2wd unless you live somewhere where it snows alot.

I would also get a 07 for peace of mind (100k warrenty) as the trannys make me nervous!

That's basically a TB SS stripper, if you could even call it that. That's a decent price for a 1SS.

IMO, the extras you get with the 3SS package are worth the money.

Interesting.. the outside temp is displayed on the mirror on the manual HVAC trucks.

With the auto climate control is displayed on the center read out, just the compass in the mirror.

My 04 Yukon Denali had the same mirror, but also had the digital climate control option. For some reason, GM chose not to offer that on the Trailblazer.

I'll trade you my Trailblazer SS for your CTS-V. I miss the manual transmission.
