I just got rid of my 2002 WS6 Trans Am for a AWD TBSS (07) and I don't regret it one lil bit and would do it again in a HEARTBEAT!!!! I live up in the Pacific Northwest otherwise I would have gone with the 2WD version........and yes, that 100k mile warranty is a nice thing to have for peace of mind. 
After driving a 6-spd for nearly 5 years, the auto trans is a nice (and welcome) change.

Is your V the ls6 model...because i know they put the ls2 in the newer ones..which is the same...ive also heard lots of problems w/ the cts-vs blowing the rearends w/ moderate amounts of strain put to them. I love my TB...Ive always loved both the V and the ss..so that would be a difficult decision on my part as well!
