How is the stock transmission?

Default How is the stock transmission?

hey guys, im going buy one this week, and i was wondering how the transmission is in this truck, and what is it. 60,65,60e or what. and is there any weak points in the truck itself?

Is it the truck in your sig??? If so that would have a 4l60e in it if it is a 1500 truck. If it is a hd 1500 or bigger it will have the 4l80e in there. The 60e is not that great of a trans, whenputting power threw them it is a hit or miss. Strat with a shift kit, some billet or vette servo's. The 80e's on the other hand are pretty damn tuff..

i believe you're talkin about a tbss, and i believe it has a 4L70, which i don't really hear good things about

haha, yea i was talkin about the tbss! but thanks for the info anyways. so what is something i can do to the 70e to make it stronger!

I have had no problems with mine other than what I did to it by not checking the tolerance on the servo pin on install which burned the 2/4 band...
