Default Yukon XL leveling..any tips?

I've seen all the key tips for the trucks, but what about a Suburban or Yukon XL? can I just load up the torsion bars? I want to raise it up enough to fit the biggest size tires I can. Anyone have any pics maybe? Any help would be awesome..

Suburbans and Yukon XLs have the same torsion bar front suspension as the pickups. I turned each of the preload bolts 6 full turns for about 1" of lift (sig photo is after adjustment). Just get it aligned when you're done.

You can also run aftermarket (Ford) torsion keys to provide more upward adjustment. Bear in mind that what you're doing here is preloading the suspension, so too much and you won't have enough negative travel, resulting in a rough ride.

that looks good. what size tires are you running? I'll throw it on the lift this week and turn each bolt 6 turns and try to get that fron end up a bit. Is an alignment a must, or can Iget away with it for a bit. The tires on there now have a lot of tread left, but since the alignment was so bad before I had it a ligned a month ago, that it shakes and shimmy's a lot anyhow.

Rough Country sells torsion keys for leveling Gm trucks. about $150 or so. Don't know how they affect the ride though. I was thinking about getting a set for my truck.

So I can get a set of the torsion keys made for the trucks for 1-1/2 of lift, but what about the rear? My main concern is leveling it, so if the front is all that's available, then I'll just stick with that. But is there some way to raise the rear just a bit?

Hmm, it was my understanding that 1.5 in the front would make it level if your truck is currently on the stock suspention.

If you do need to raise the rear just a few inches for whatever reason then you can get blocks in different increments for the leaf springs or spend a shitload more for a new set of rear lift springs.
