Default Wheel and gear gurus needed

I have a 2004 2500 8.1 4L85E 4x4 Suburban with stock 245/75R16 tires. My cousin has blown the engine on his truck and has given me a set of 18 inch rims that have a +18 offset. The tires on the new rim set are LT285/65R18 which I believe is just under 33 inches.
1.) What would I have to do to use these rims and tires without any rubbing issues?
2.) If I put a bigger tire on, will I need different gears as well? The suburban currently has 3.73 from the factory.

The 285's will be around 32.6 which is about an 1" bigger on the radius then the 245's. Width wise you are looking at less then an inch on either side of the rim. You will have to check the backspacing on the current 16" wheels but, if it is 18 or close, you shouldn't have an issue with clearance with the 285's. The rolling radius being about an inch difference "might" come into play with the computer so a tune may be needed to correct the tire size. Gears are fine.

The factory wheels are +28mm offset and 5.60 Back space. The new rims are model number XD82089080718 with a backspace of 5.71. It is Blackbear tuned so they can correct the speedometer if needed. Thank you for your help .

You should be good. Even though the new wheels have a bit deeper back space the offset is 10mm's less so it should set them about where the stock 16's were on the inside.
If he was running these on a pick up there is no reason for them to not fit your 'Burb. Try them and see...
