Default upgrade from vacuum to hydraboost brakes

I'm looking to upgrade my braking on my 1500. The vacuum brake and booster work ok for light towing however, now I'm going to be towing a bit more than normal would like to upgrade to the Hydra boost setup.

I'm working on a punch list as far as parts and part numbers that I'll need to make this all happen.

Looking on Rock Auto website I see a large variant of boosters mainly for different RPO/SPID codes. Would like go to the extreme side by going to the 7200Lb capacity JC4 but not sure if I can do it.

Suggestions on which RPO/SPID I should go with.

I understand that there is more to it than a simple switch from one to the other. I have to replace the power steering pump as well and hoses to make it all work.

I've also purchased new rear springs and shackles etc... not only for this change but out of necessity.

I did see on here a while back on a how to do it post but cannot locate it any longer. Where the heck did it go????

thanks.

If youre towing something to the point you want to upgrade your truck's brakes Id think the trailer needs brakes or they arent adjusted right
