anyone have any bad expireences with these shocks I have them on 02 sierra and theve been on for less than a year and I already have two blown shocks and a third that the dial was ripped off of. The dial wasn't fault a chunk of ice hit itbut the other two!!! I don't know if it's just a fluke or what!

 

Had them for 30K on my Z71 and have about 15K with them on my Dmax(different shocks) with no problems.

not yet, but I talked to my local shop and they said bring em on in and they will swap them out.

 

I ran em on three different trucks and never had a problem, sorry to hear about that

 

thats good there gonna replace them but sometimes things break.
ive been thinking about running the 9000's on my truck as well

 

hey does rancho make shock that can take up to 7000 pounds??? thats my trucks weight before adding any thing else on to it

 

yes id get the 9000's or next grade up

 

I had 9000's on my old mud truck and never had a problem with them... Only way I would get them again is if I could get the in-cab adjustment setup. Always seemed to be more trouble than it was worth crawling under the truck to make adjustments for off-road.

 

ok so I received my new shocks, and when taking my old shocks off I realized that they were short, because I have a leveling kit on the truck. So I bolted the new 0" lift shock to the bottom as normal, and for the top I put two bushings underneth the shock top mount, cut a third bushings in half and used it on top of the mount. This setup= about 3/4 inch lift shock. Aka perfect for leveling kits. I have a bit more articulation now, and hopefully I won't blow any more shocks at full droop.
