Default Lifting a Sierra Denali

Well hopefully this thread can help me with my problem.

Nobody offers anything suspension related for my 2005 Sierra Denali, other than torsion keys, now I understand that the awd causes a problem, however has anyone found an effective way to achieve a 4" lift on a Denali without converting to part time 4wd or 2wd?

I guess what I'm saying is, I want the best of both worlds.

The problem lies with the front driveshaft..Its like a long cv axle shaft and once you hit a certain angle it will destroy the cv joint...

One option you have is to change to a u-joint style cv shaft to help with the angles..

i personally wouldn't do anything more than cranking keys and 33s... it probably could be done with a custom built shaft.

So what is the max that I can crank up the torsion bars before I add to much angle to the drivetrain and add unneeded or excessive wear?

I'm guessing that I keep cranking until I start feeling vibrations.

I have about 1" of space between the control arm and the metal stop...When i first had it cranked up it hit the metal stop alot and would make a hellva racket lol so i lowered it back down..

Also interested in this. I have a 2003 denali that needs 2-4" of lift on the front. Skyjacker supposedly makes a kit for awd trucks (escalades) that will work, but not sure if it directly bolts on to our trucks as well since I think eskys have fancier air suspension. Also its $2000.
Many people have suggested getting a new driveshaft (dual cardan?) but noone has done this and confirmed it worked afaik

I also wonder if I can get it at least leveled out 2" with the torsion bar crank and upper control arms and longer shocks provided with the cognito kit? This wouldnt drop the front diff so I assume there shouldnt be any vibrations, maybe just slightly more wear on the front CV shafts?
