what i wanna know is when you see a lifted 2wd as opposed to your lifted 4wd... does it hurt you at all? does it bring the value of your truck down at all? does it make your truck get stuck in the mud all the time? NO... then wtf do you care. what about if somebody already had there 2wd payed of and they decide they want a lifted truck, should they sell it, buy a 4wd and take a $3000 hit in the process, plus the extra money that it takes to lift the 4wd as opposed to the 2wd... all because some of us think its a bad idea. and no trucks AREN'T made to be lifted, i doubt when they made the first truck they had a 6" lift kit in mind with some 35s. this is a dumb thread, why are we all trying to convince someone its ok to lift a 2wd... they wouldnt make ******* lift kits for 2wds if there wasnt a reason to lift em... same for lowered 4wds

I've had a lifted 2wd, and I loved it, but I would not do that again. I had more fun going over or thru things that most 4x4 would drive around. It was fun while it lasted. I did not get any more value out of it when it was sold. I left everything on it instead of returning the truck back to stock.

4X2= *** digging into the mud and not going anywhere.

they make 4x4 for a reason. Baja doesnt count b/c your going 90+mph on flat sand with your momentum.

FTW.

The lowering the 4x4 thing had me for a while. Being from Mississippi I thought you had to lift a 4x4. I didnt understand why the hell you would lower one untill I saw White1 at hubcity. He was doing a 4 wheel drive launch and it was bad ***. Damn truck launches like a car. At that moment I understood why

I hear ya dock...

I always wondered why some of the guys lower the 4x4s, but then i learned about aerodynamics and Weight transfer... all that kindof stuff..... it explains it all bud.

Why waste your time on this site?
Why lift a 4wheeler?
why do i just go outside and let a 30rd mag go through my ar-15 as fast as i want?
why do people get a Z71 and drive it everyday, not even knowing how to put it in 4HI...
why did i just go put a Eaton LSD in my truck when i had a G-80? (that should be a given!)
why.
why.
Why.

Does it matter?
Probably not.

Just leave people alone, and dont question their opinions.

I know a reason. I knew of a guy several years back that had lifted his 2wd Ranger and had 33's on it. He traded it in on a new vehicle and they gave him trade in value for a 4wd $4000 more than they should have. They didn't ask so he didn't offer the info. They called him the next day trying to get him to bring the car back because they had made a mistake.

I got owned? LOL, whatever dude, you can argue all you want about your monster 4x2 Rangers, they are all ghey in my eyes. And no, this is not a rule, its simply my opinion. Shinerbock had a point about the baja argument. So if anyone got owned, its the people who opted to buy a brand new 2WD rolling chasis, and put frankenstein spindles on it.

A lot of you sound like you have sand in your vag, or drive a 2wd (lifted )

One more thing. All of the stories I here of the glorious 2WD that defy the elements, sound like Chris Farley type stories "Well not me personally, but I froend of mine..." Catch my drift?
