Any one have experienced with bad power steering at 2003 Chevy 2500HD truck?
I have ’03 Chevy 2500HD and logged only 21K miles on. Big problem with Power steering left/right turning. I took the ball joints (both) off and running the motor while on lifing-up, Still problem hard turning.
I took it to Car Care Service and said, it is “STICKY” which bad at fluid pump or gear box. He dunno which one.
How I can point at bad Power Steering fluid pump or gear box?
Anyone can rebuilt on it or buy new around Knoxville,TN?
Appreciate for feedback.
Thanks

I would guess that you have a problem with the power steering pump. I have had to replace both the power steering pump and the gear box in my dodge. I replaced my power steering because it had a "sticky" feeling.........and I replaced my gear box because I had play in it......................don't know if this will help but good luck!

Doesnt HD's have hydra boost brakes, as in powered by the power steering pump? So if your brakes are good, then your gear box might be shitty. Have you tryed bleeding it/filling it, aslo check your steering dampiner (SP?) Make sure its not worn out.
