Default Steering box vs Power Steering Pump, Help Diagnose a Whine

Hey guys, I have a moan coming from what I think is the power steering pump, but I'm not sure. In certain conditions, I can actually feel it in the steering wheel. Could a worn out steering box increase resistance to the pump or is it more than likely the pump?

Also, what other wear items exist in the steering? My steering is a bit sloppy, outer tie rods felt good when I did the control arms/ spindles but I didn't check the rest of it.

Did you check your power steering fluid?

Pitman arm, idler arm, and idler assembly bracket are wear items. I bought Moog problem solver parts from rock auto (~$200) and it tightened my steering up a whole lot. I have a 05 crew cab z71 with about the same amount of miles as you have on your RCSB.
