i dont have either one but if i was to get one, i would go with the PBs 4l60 because they have 1 year warranty opposed to 6 months from FLT.... im sure they are both good products and stand behind them. just that PB stands behind them longer.... correct me if im wrong on the warranty part.

I was looking at PB for one main reason that is the PB is like 2 hours away from my house and if any thing happened I could drive my pops truck to them and drup it off. thanks to everyone that has chimmed in. both sound like good tranny builders

I don't know alot of guys that run the PB's ....only two come to mind. TxSilverado and BlueCajun.
I personally have a FLT lvl5 65e with billit shaft/vac mod.
Did i mention the vac mod is like a shift made in heaven?

FLT has been very active and very helpful on the truck forums for a long time, so they got my business.

i'm running PB. i would run FLT in a heartbeat. performabuilt had the best prices and best warranty at the time that i got my tranny. it comes with a tranny cooler and trans line flush which was a nice kicker.

the suprise to me was the customer service. i beleave frank was hired to performabuilt to handle customer service alone. i have spoke to him at 1am on more than one occasion. he's always polite and helpful. when i lost my last transmission (they all eventually break!) he replaced it with no questions asked. i'm glad i went with performabuilt, and i'm sure i would be just as happy running a FLT transmission.

They both def build nice trans. I am running a PB and it hasn't missed a beat .. It is a thing of preference, I chose them because they are close to my home, had a great deal at the time. Both are great builders, Frank@ PB is A1 on service. Vince@ FLT is also, just look at the posts and threads they contribute to, help out...

I am also running a PB level 2 trans. It has withstood my abuse of the 370 and nitrous as a daily driver very well. The customer service is awesome, i have talked to frank at 12am sunday night and 7 am the next morning. My first one failed due to my rearend locking up and taking out the trans, i had a new one at my door the same business week! I am sure flt has an equally strong unit and they are well known for quality around here. I went with pb at first just because of the 5 day delivery time from order. But i am super happy with it.

I do not believe that the PB unit comes with all the custom and new parts that FLT uses. Look at the build sheets. You need to compare equal products IMO.
